Sosaku is a Tokyo-based initiative that strives to support artists and craftspeople living in Japan by sharing their creations and ideas. Founded in 2021 by Nana, Sosaku plans to slowly expand its roster of artists, bringing awareness to a range of independent creators and their work. Handmade in Japan

All of the arts and crafts on the Sosaku Japan site are handmade in Japan by their respective artists at their ateliers, or at the Sosaku Studio in Tokyo.
All of the materials used are sourced from around the country, from the hand pressed washi paper used for printing to the hand-crafted wooden frames.

Packaged and Sent by the Artists

Each and every piece shipped from Sosaku Japan is packaged and shipped directly from the Sosaku Japan Studios in Tokyo, often by the artists themselves. Each item is carefully crafted, handled and presented with a signed note from Sosaku Japan.

A Note about Sustainability

Sosaku Japan is dedicated to supporting sustainable business practices wherever and whenever possible. Single-use plastics are kept to an absolute minimum, and all other packaging is made from 100% recycled and recyclable materials.
