Collection: Sumie Ink Paintings

Sumie Art on Washi by Morgane. This collection of pieces is inspired by elements of traditional Japanese culture and Japanese sumie painting. Sumie is a style of painting that emerged from East Asia in the seventh century, with great emphasis on brushwork. Morgane's pieces are mainly created using black ink with elements of color also added. The paper we print on is handmade washi, a type of traditional Japanese paper, from Ise, a region that is world-renowned for its high quality paper.
